ABOUT SEX OUTSIDE
At Sex Outside, we aim to normalize conversations about sex, sexuality, gender, and relationships by looking at each of them through the lens of the outdoors and nature.
Why? Because sex and gender are continually expressed all around us in the outdoors, and in a human-made world where we are socialized to feel shame around the topic of sex, it feels good to go back to the root of everything and remember that sex is perfectly natural.
(cue you remembering your first “birds and the bees” conversation as a kid….)
Sometimes our work might look like hygiene as it applies to being outside. Other times it might look like a turn to ecology to learn more about how we as humans can be so similar (or wildly different!) from other species of plants and animals in our world. And sometimes still, it’s a compelling story or conversation that we feel more of us could be having, and finding some ways the outdoors can create a safer container for having them.
In short: this isn’t the sex education you had in public school. (If you had it at all).

Laura Borichevsky | SEX EDUCATOR, Founder, Host, & Producer
Laura Borichevsky (she/they) is well-seasoned in the worlds of podcasting, the outdoors, sex education, and advocacy.
Through her time hosting and producing a well-known road travel podcast from 2017-2020, Laura learned the ropes of audio storytelling and cultivating community through honest conversations told from the road. In years prior, Laura held roles as a sex educator and public policy advocate for reproductive rights. In addition to her digital marketing, social media, and content creation work in the outdoor industry, she is a Holistic Sex Educator who has a passion for serving the outdoor industry and rural communities centered around commercial outdoor tourism.
Besides rocking “headphones hair” for Sex Outside in her home base of Winter Park, Colorado, she's likely spending time sipping on decaf and keeping up with her tiny herd of fur babies, or adventuring with her partner on the road, trail, or river— usually with an instant film camera in hand.
